

Best in Show at World Dog Show 2008 arranged by Svenska Kennelklubben at Stockholmsmässan/Stockholm International Fair, in Älvsjö/Stockholm, was the American bred Sealyham Terrier CACh USCh AM&CAN Ch Efbe's Hidalgo At Goodspice ('Charmin'). Charmin is owned by Margery and Richard Good and Sandra Middlebrook, USA.
- I feel like top of the world! I have tons of confidence in my dogs so I hoped and prayed it would go all the way! said Margery Good right after.
Charmin will after his week in Sweden go back undefeated. Earlier in the week he also won Best in Show at the Swedish Terrier Club Specialty and at the Sealyhamterrier Breed Club Specialty. Charmin has won 14 Best in Shows and 66 Group-1st in the United States before he came to the FCI World Dog Show in Stockholm. He is always handled by his owner, professional handler Margery Good.
Best in Show judge was Mr Kenneth Edh, Sweden. He has been judging dogs since 1978 and became an all breed judge 1991. He has judged dogs in 34 countries all over the world. Breed and Group judge was world wide well known terrier specialist Mrs Siv Jernhake, Sweden.
The International Junior Handling competition was won by 14 year old Paavo Tervonen from Finland.
He has before this, been compeeting as a junior handler at seveal big competitions. This was the first time he handled his own dog, an Australian Terrier.
Mr Peter Green, USA, was judging the Junior Handling Finals (on Sunday). He said about his winning team: 'The winner did everything right, an Australian Terrier should be shown with loose leach as he did. He managed to give me the dogs expression at all times, and was clever with the legs, the topline and the coat.'
For three days 206 Junior handlers from all Scandinavian countries was competing to get to the final cut on the Sunday final competition. On this day another 14 Junior handlers was entered from 14 different countries to compete for the winning title.
Winner of the World Championship in Obedience (individuals) was Mr Mads Möller, Denmark, with his dog Faehunden's Invincible Haley, 304 points. Runner up was Ms Elina Niemi with Tending Bluey, Finland, 299.33 points.
Best team winning Winner of the World Championship in Obedience was won by Finland with 882.33 points over team Norway with 860.33 points.
Sweden International Freestyle Cup was won by Miss EmmaWillblad, Sweden, and her 11 year old pumi Csar. Emma and Csar has won several competitions. Freestyle is a choreographed dancing programme and has become a very popular competition in Sweden.
20 661 dogs in 342 breeds and breed varieties was entered to the FCI World Dog Show 2008.
It was arranged for the first time ever in Sweden. 50 235 people visited the show.
